This morning, I was all set to write on something non-film related like dating or shoes. So I sat down to read my morning paper via internet and came across something interesting, “Sequel to ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ Announced.”

How did this pitch meeting go?
Exec: You remember the Christmas movie “It’s a wonderful life”?
Other Exec: No?
Exec: Perfect! Le’ts make a sequel!
Other Exec: You mean a remake?
Exec: Nope, a sequel.
Other Exec: Great! Let’s do it
Le sigh! I.CANNOT. I give up.
Go ahead. Remake and sequalize (for the purpose of this post sequalize is a word) everything! Let’s just go to the beginning of film history and start over. Birth of a Nation again, Citizen Cane: Rosebud’s story, His Girl Friday: the weekend edition. I’m out of energy on this one and apparently so is Hollywood.
